People plus Space prides itself on their approach to bespoke design with each client’s specific needs in mind. We believe that Space must always be designed for People, hence the name of the design firm: People plus Space. Heather, the founder and lead designer, is that rare planner and designer whose education and international experience allows her to manage any land use project from concept through site plan, and building design, right down to picking and sourcing finishes and furnishings. Heather comes at her work with fresh ideas influenced by her youth, her time in Shanghai, China and her work with clients in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and throughout the Okanagan.
Our conscientious approach to development and design is something the People plus Space team prides itself in. We provide clients and contractors with refined yet comprehensive design concepts and detailed drawing packages, establishing a foundation for a smooth project execution. Our experience includes land use planning, land development and architectural design for both commercial and residential projects, and interior design packages.
After extensive schooling and industry experience, People plus Space was established in 2013. Heather holds a Master of Planning degree in Urban Development from Ryerson University, and a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Interior Design (Hons) from Algonquin College in Ottawa.
